Pixies Snippets Playground - Week 106

Well, despite the New Year celebrations and people recovering from Christmas, we still had  36 snippets entries last week. This is my snippets card for today:
I used:

- 6" x 6" square white card blank

- snippets of plain pink paper from the snippets folder

- image is a pre-coloured one by LOTV from their 'Babies' Art Pad, die cut with a Nesties 'wonky' die and layered onto a slightly wider pink wonky frame

- the sweet little banner was die cut using a Joanna Sheen Signature die called 'Bunting'

- two of the little hearts left from cutting bunting were popped onto the push chair/buggy wheels

- the sentiment is from SU's 'Petite Pairs', stamped using SU's 'Smoky Slate'

- brushed silver Josy Rose nail heads at each corner just to finish it off

Clean and simple :)

And this week's Playground picks are:
A really stunning card, made by Brenda - I absolutely LOVE it!

Such a clever use of snippets by Kay - love all the different embossing!

Really nifty alteration of a little notebook by Ann, and another way to use up those snippets - one to try for sure :)

Oh I do love this card, made by Karen P - my colours of course and such beautiful detail.

Loll made this fabulous new baby card to celebrate the arrival of her adorable grandson, Cooper. Do hop over and take a peek at him - he's gorgeous!

I was delighted to see this card made by Pat - using some of her 100 weeks Playground prize - it's absolutely beautiful!

As always, I could carry on as every single entry was lovely - but as I type this on Saturday there's a right rumpus going on in the Playground. The sparrows are fighting for shelter from torrential rain in their mahoosive bush, the Playground is still 'open plan' since the storm damage and I need to bail out the tree house 'cos someone let off some New Year fireworks and took part of the roof off! Happy days :)

The winner of the stamps offered last week is:
Congratulations Mary Anne! Can you please drop me an email with your snail mail address in (di_wray@hotmail.com) and I'll post the stamps off to you as soon as possible.

And this coming week's prize is, bet you guessed, baby themed!
It's the LOTV 'Babies' Art Pad which has 30 pre-coloured images, 10 designs with three of each design. It's the same as the lovely pad I used today, plus a Joanna Sheen Signature 'Bunting' die - again the same as the one I used today. I reckon you could cut the die twice in different colours and use the teeny heart leftovers to fill in the gaps - now that sure is using snippets to the nth degree :)

The snippets challenge will run for one week and the Playground gates will close at 11am UK time on Saturday  11th January and will open again at midnight UK time on the same day. Maximum of three entries and please say 'No thank you' in a comment if you wish to still play but not be the winner of the prize. Or perhaps you might only fancy the Art Pad or the die - if so, please do say and if you win I can do a second draw with whatever is left.

Mr Linky is below - please let me know if you have any problems linking, I can sort it out for you quite quickly and am always happy to do so.

Di - and of course Parsnip

  15. Whoa! Look at that ornate snowflake card! That's quite the piece of work. I like your sweet baby girl card with the wonky square center piece. That is fun. It looks like the snippet playground is moving away from Christmas cards. Oh goodie! I'm ready for other stuff now.

  17. Great highlights of the week, Di, and wonderful snippets baby card from you! I think I need to make a baby card soon, it seems so fitting for the start of a new year and I have none in my stash.

Oh, dear, I am ever so sorry to hear there is a rumbus going on in the Playground and all the while I was warm and snug in the booze, er, root cellar I dug up with the help of ... [claps hand over mouth] ! No, Miss, I was only joking like. There is no such cellar full of libations. It wouldn't be right. I know that now.

Can you tell we just started watching three years' worth of Downton Abby to catch up?! I'll be doing a full-on range of British accents in a few months time!! I don't know what root cellar the Mister and I have been in that we missed it for three years!! That's a lot to catch up on with the Season 4 starting tonight!

Have a great week and I hope the crazy weather calms down and things dry up for you! (No thank you.) Hugs, Darnell

  24. super card you have here Miss. I do so likey the wonky die cuts. I will abstain again though from going in the cooking pot as have no one to make or send baby cards out to. p.s There has been a dirty RAT in the potting shed Miss. Snicked the acorns which ave been stored in there for Mr Squirrel and the birdies. I know cos there is a big hole in the bottom of the bag!!
    Hugs Mrs A.

  25. This is so pretty Di. That die was in my basket but I changed it for a motorbike - how silly was that! No thanks to the image pad if I was lucky enough to be pulled out as I just can't colour.

I hope you get things under control soon x

  27. Your baby card is so sweet & adorable. I don't think I've made but one baby card. We don't seem to have a lot of calls for that in our circle of friends. (quite the opposite with Sympathy cards!) Baby cards are much happier to make. Loved your little banner and that image is just as cute as can be. You take those LOTV to the limit. TFS & Hugs.
